Study and Living Conditions

Our beautiful garden-like campus is located in the Zhongguancun Science and Technology Zone, covering an area of 38 hectares and boasting a quiet and comfortable learning environment. It has more than 40 multi-functional language labs and multi-media classrooms, among which some are exclusively designed for phonetic training. All classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with ultra-red facilities for language listening comprehension training.

The university pays special attention to the improvement of students' living conditions and environment. Spots with cultural characteristics are established around the dorm. Everywhere around the dorm area are trees, small gardens and scenic cultural spots. BLCU also provides access to the Internet through an Internet Cafe facilitating net surfing and information exchange.

The university provides two kinds of on-campus accommodations: either double or single rooms with telephone, air-conditioner, bathtub, TV, refrigerator, and Internet access.

On campus, there are various restaurants offering western cuisine, Chinese food, fast food and Islamic cuisine, and there are sports facilities for basketball, volleyball, tennis, football, etc. In the newly built gymnasium there are a swimming pool, an aerobic and fitness center, several badminton courts as well as table tennis and bowling facilities. And there are several sports clubs on campus.

There are also a clinic, an ICBC bank branch, a post-office, a grocery store, and a laundry on campus. The university is on the bus routes of bus 307, 331, 630, 656, 375, 690, 743 and 957 and a light-rail line with direct access to Beijing's downtown area is just minutes away by foot. A taxi ride from the University to the Beijing Capital International Airport takes only 45 minutes.
